J. Prickaerts is a leading expert in the field of PDEs with a particular interest in the development of novel selective PDE4 inhibitors. His research at Maastricht University includes working with animals and human subjects in a translational context with the Faculty of Psychology and Neuroscience (adults) and the memory clinic (elderly, patients with Alzheimer’s disease). He is currently head of the Division of Translational Neuroscience at the School of Mental Health and Neuroscience (MHeNS) (Maastricht University).
